Client profile:
Midlothian Women's Aid

Midlothian Women's Aid provides an essential service to the women of the region. Their work is very sensitive but makes the lives of their clients change from one of potential fear and distress to one of happiness, self-worth and positivity especially when it comes to the future of themselves and their children.

The Fourth Craw were commissioned to re-brand the charity. The client had requirements for a logo, a website, promotional collateral, annual reports, personalised producds such as pens and pencils and some signage.

Logo requirements

The branding had to put over a sense of support and show that the organisation not only worked with women, but their children as well. The colours and font had to infer a relaxed environment with so steer away from harsh colours and jaggy edges.

The family

As an essential part of the branding, a family was created to help children associate themselves with the situation they may be experiencing. This has proven very successful and additional illustrations have since been created to help add to that.

Client testimonial

"Midlothian Women’s Aid has had a working relationship with The Fourth Craw for over four years. They facilitated our major re-branding including a new logo and website development as well as a full suite of information leaflets. The team was great at understating the complexity of the message our organisation needed to work with. The artwork was, and still is, relevant, bright and welcoming. We asked that it be forward looking instead of full of doom and gloom.

On our behalf, the team has produced a range of additional resources including branding and awareness raising resources such as pens, balloons and banner stands. One of the best features of the partnership has centered round their ability to listen to what we need and produce it in a format that is welcoming and accessible. A great example of this is our ‘Getting it Write’ booklet that was develop by service users. The team consolidated the mass of text and images and created a brilliant resource for our future service users.

As well as doing our annual report, The Fourth Craw are always on hand to answer our questions and research options for the resources we ask for.

All-in-all, the relationship is a valued one in which we are always very happy with the process and the end result.

Money well spent!

Thank you guys"
